Any one who knows me, knows I love Hip Hop and it was such an honour to have Reason at our Trending SA studio the other day.
So here’s my Ode to Hip Hop.
He’s been in the rapping game for over 10 years and by the sound of his music, it hasn’t been a easy road for Tembisa born rapper.

The more you listen to Reason the more you realise that his life story is written in the lyrics he puts in his song.
You may wonder how the young, gifted rapper rose to his success.
Reason started competing in competing in numerous competitions, both official and on the street corner. It wasn’t long before Johannesburg began to take notice and he began making appearances on YFM delivering breakfast jingles for DJ Fresh on “The Unrestricted Breakfast Show” in 2005 and that time Reason was only in Grade 11.
Then in 2010, Reason went on to releasing his debut album “The Reasoning”, remember this video?
That didn’t come from his 2010 album though, it was only released in 2012, on his second album, Audio3D. This was the album that set Reason apart from all the other rappers that were in the game at that time.
And we all know the saying fame comes at a price….
Well, besides Reasons stride through the industry, topping charts and album release after another.
His private life was splashed all over the papers earlier this year, where he was rumoured to have divorced his wife and started dating, Lootlove (well, those rumours came out to be true)
But whatever it is, Reason continues to serve us some really killer tunes.
