Goodafternoon,
The Economic Freedom Fighters dismissed allegations that their leader Julius Malema and three other men were being investigated for alleged assault.
Spokeperson Mbuyisi Ndlozi said: The commander in chief is under no investigation, those allegations are false must as a result be treated as such (sic).”
He said the allegations were malicious and intended to negatively dent Malema’s reputation.
President Jacob Zuma has pulled out of a memorial service for Nelson Mandela at London’s Westminster Abbey on Monday, despite the royal event having previously been postponed to accommodate his diary. Business Day reports that there was no immediate explanation about what was preventing the President from going to London for the show of respect for Mandela. A Cabinet statement earlier said Zuma would pay a working visit to the UK and would attend Monday’s service.
Physicists in Germany and the United States said on Wednesday they have discovered an exotic new type of particle that they call a quantum droplet.
According to Journal Nature, they said it behaves a bit like a liquid droplet and described it as an amalgamation of smaller types of particles.
The discovery, they added, could be useful in the development of nanotechnology, include things like the semiconductor lasers used in Blu-ray disc players.
