Following its success in the UK, South African’s will finally have a taste of Jamie Oliver’s Italian cuisine. Situated in urban streets of Johannesburg in Melrose Arch Jamie’s Italian restaurant is set open in the chic neighbourhood.
Jamie’s passion for Itallian cuisine has won him fans the world over for its delicious, affordable and sustainable food. “There’s nothing more Italians love doing, cooking incredible meals for the whole family and enjoying a good meal. That’s what we’re all about, making food more accessible and affordable for everyone,” said Oliver.
Jamie’s restaurant is known to have for its simplicity, rustic fresh Italian flavours with a twist of Jamie Oliver. The menu is based on accessible everyday Italian food that are well suited for any dietary recommendations, from vegetarians, to gluten free.
In partnership with Whisky Creek Brands CEO Stephen Gersowsky, Justin Divaris and Symeon Yiallouris are the executive operating partners bringing the 8 year old restaurant to South Africa. The preeminent eatery will open in Melrose Arch in September 2016. It is also rumoured Jamie’s Italian restaurant will extend out to the V&A Waterfront the Cape Town market in 2017.
