Did you just say Lupe Fiasco is coming to the country?

So I came across an article on SlikourOnLife and I was like, let’s take this a little further.

All Lupe Fiasco loyalist know that he had promised us a follow-up album to DROGAS Light, right, but, months later to that promise from Lupe, dololo.

However, it wasn’t doom and gloom, he did release two other singles K-Jazz and Black Power L Word on his social media pages which gave us some hope nyana that maybe we should just be patient, the artistry is still at work, the new music is still on its way.

Don’t get me wrong DROGAS LIGHT is a great work of art

Now, on Monday, in the wee hours of the morning,  out of the pink @LupeFiasco tweets grootman @ProVerbMusic

And then grootman @ProVerbMusic  of course answered @LupeFiasco

And now because @LupeFiasco asked grootman wasn’t going to sleep on the opportunity, he gooi’ed in a little bit of Idols there

And Lupe went on to ask when are the dates etc. etc. right now it’s not set in stone in Lupe is really going to follow up with that, but I guess all we have to do is wait and see

(side note: organisers of Back to the City, get in contact with Lupe, please… I thank you)

Then, later in the week the Twittersphere saw him rocking a Zim top and this was his response.

Looks like he’s been bitten by the African bug, yo.

So I thought if he is then really going to make the pots of coming to SA, or Back to the City, whichever, here are a few of his songs you can start practising with so that you can sing along with the crowds go buck.

Just by the way this is the man who said he doesn’t think Kendrick Lemar is in the top tier of rappers. Shuu
