How to beat the 'Rona

Let’s face it: We are at a global standstill, since the CoronaVirus numbers have skyrocketed.

Already in South Africa, the numbers have escalated to 116 patients being tested positive of the virus and by the time I publish this, maybe the number would have risen, not to sound bleak or anything, because that’s not the purpose of this post.

The panic over coco-v has ordered many of us to stay indoors and consume way more social media than we did before and let's also admit, this #SocialDistance thing for some people is a mammoth of a task, no more amaPiano ko Moja Cafe or your favourite local ChesaNyama, no more vibes at Great Dane, no more drinks at Rockets, no more great steak at Gemelli, JUST NO MORE! mara for some of us we just realised we’ve been “quaranting” ourselves regardless and this thing won't be such a task until you want to step out and go to the gym for e.g. (ME right now) 😩

And with the pandemic and rising levels of anxiety with people all around, we often lean towards comedy as our relief. 🎭

You saw with this video making the rounds saying South Africa’s bona they’re within groove while the rest of the world is isolating themselves in order to restrict the virus from spreading.

Now, we all know social media has a good and a bad side, example, when people spread FAKE NEWS, further spreading misinformation and heightening the unnecessary panic.

TikTok, though, has taken precautions against the spread of misinformation by labelling all coronavirus posts with links from trusted sources, such as the World Health Organization (WHO).

While we all soldier on and pray to fight this virus while being indoors, let me sparkle your day with a few collated memes, gifs, videos that have made me share a few chuckles when the rest of the world is gloomy.

Here's even a few more ideas on what you can during basic house arrest.

Stay safe, Enjoy XXX
